Zeke and Luther

MATT DEARBORN
Creator and Executive Producer

Television veteran Matt Dearborn is the creator and executive producer of Disney XD's single-camera comedy series, "Zeke and Luther."

Dearborn began his entertainment career as an actor after a friend dared him to audition for a role on the television series "TV 101," co-starring Matt LaBlanc and Teri Polo. He went on to serve as story editor for the series and has since had over 100 television scripts produced.

Dearborn created and executive-produced the Disney Channel comedy series "Even Stevens," starring Shia LaBeouf. His numerous television writing credits include "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Early Edition," "Ghost Stories," "Eerie Indiana," "Sliders," "Phil of the Future" and "The Secret World of Alex Mack."

For three consecutive years (2001-03) Dearborn was nominated for an Emmy Award for "Even Stevens" in the Outstanding Children's Series category, and won a BAFTA Children's Award in 2002, recognitions he shares with his "Zeke and Luther" co-creator, Tom Burkhard.

Dearborn was raised in San Anselmo, California.  He currently lives in Redondo Beach, California.

TOM BURKHARD

Tom Burkhard is creator and executive producer of the new Disney XD's single-camera comedy series "Zeke and Luther."

In 1990 Burkhard began his career at MTV and, in 1997, created the Fox comedy series "Rewind," starring Scott Baio. His other writing/producing credits include the Emmy-nominated Disney Channel Original series "Even Stevens," "That's So Raven," "Phil of the Future," "The Closer," "Living with Fran," "Caroline in the City" and "Full House."

Burkhard and "Zeke and Luther" co-creator Matt Dearborn received Emmy Award nominations for "Even Stevens" for Outstanding Children's Series in 2001, 2002 and 2003.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Burkhard attended Oklahoma Christian University, where he was a NAIA All-American pole vaulter and received his B.A. in Marketing. He currently resides in Mar Vista, California.
